Homeschool Sewing Classes
2022/23 Weekly Class Schedule
Weekly homeschool sewing classes are a fun extra-curricular activity that reinforces skills such as problem solving, reading comprehension, math, and more. In weekly classes, sewists will learn to sew using the world renowned curriculum by Kids Can Sew. Starting with the basics, sewists progress in their skills and sewing knowledge as they work through the pattern workbooks. They will learn how to read and understand written instructions, pattern layout, and how to safely operate a sewing machine.
Classes start September and run through May 18th 2023
No classes will be held on the following days:
School Break: Nov 8
Thanksgiving: Nov 21-25
Christmas Break: Dec 19 - Jan 2
Class Canceled Feb 27 - Mar 3
Spring Break: Mar 13 - 19
Last Day of Class is May 18
Although I don't anticipate any changes to this schedule, occasionally changes do occur. Classes & holidays mostly follow CCISD schedule.
Tuition & Fees
Yearly Registration fee
I offer two types of tuition. Standard & All-Inclusive.
STANDARD TUITION: Student is responsible to purchase and bring needed fabric, thread, buttons, etc. for each project.
ALL-INCLUSIVE TUITION: All supplies including fabric, thread, buttons, etc. are provided by Sewing Jungle. Only students working in the KCS curriculum enroll for All-Inclusive Tuition.
Standard Monthly Tuition: $95
All-Inclusive Monthly Tuition: $120
Tuition is based upon an average of 3 classes per month throughout the school year (September-May).
You are not charged extra for months with 4 or 5 classes. Likewise, tuition is not prorated for December when only 2 classes are offered, due to the holdiay/school schedule. Tuition remains the same each month.
Monthly Make & Take Homeschool Classes
Make & Take Homeschool Classes are offered on select Mondays & Fridays from 12:00 - 2:00. Kids can come make a project and learn basic sewing skill while having fun learning how to sew. Make & Take classes are craft projects only. Clothing projects are only offered in weekly classes.
There is no yearly registration fee for Make & Take Classes, but there is a $15 charge for first time sewists. First time sewists will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of class the first time they attend. Make & Take classes do not follow a curriculum.
